Yeah, I don't know why moths are a meme right now either.

(Some people actually believe this.)

    Whereas Garth Brooks did country music no favors (i.e., crossing over to pop or flying over the audience), he’s practically Hank III compared to the soy boy standing next to him in that picture - Alan Jackson. What damage Garth Brooks may done to country music, Alan Jackson did 1000 times worse. Garth Brooks, despite having obvious rock and adult contemporary influences, still released music that, for the most part, still had a noticeable country influence. On the other hand, Jackson’s “music” (if you can even call it that) is far from country or even pop-country. There’s hardly any country influence besides token steel and fiddle thrown in; it’s a weird mix of hip-hop, Drake-style R&B, and 80’s hair metal. And speaking of hip-hop, at least Garth never covered a rap song in concert, whereas this soy boy has covered over a dozen rap songs in concert, specifically:
    * Akon - Don't Matter
    * Wiz Khalifa - We Dem Boyz ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFOtWpul3ZY )
    * Tyga - Hookah
    * Soulja Boy - Turn My Swag On
    * Soulja Boy - I Got that Sauce
    * Future - Mask Off
    * Flo Rida - Whistle
    * T.I. - Whatever You Like
    * Big Sean ft. Nicki Minaj - Dance (A$$)
    * Lil Wayne - Love Me
    * Drake - Passionfruit
    * Offset - Ric Flair Drip
    * Waka Flocka Flame - Hard in da Paint
    * Shaquille O'Neal - (I Know I Got) Skillz
    * Fetty Wap - Jugg
    And it doesn’t stop there. Country music is often universally laughed at for its perceived ignorance and jingoism. And you can thank none other than Alan Jackson for this close-minded view of country music. Whereas at least Garth tried to buck this stereotype, Alan Jackson instead doubled down, like in “It’s Alright to Be a Redneck”, “Country Boy”, “I Still Like Bologna”, “Jim and Jack and Hank” (aka Achy Breaky 3) and especially that stupid 9/11-exploiting song where he couldn’t tell the difference between Iraq and Iran. And, aside from the fact he introduced those various non-country sounds ruining country radio today, it was also Jackson who pioneered the bro-country, cry baby, fishing hole, chevy truck, bud light, yeti cooler, formula POP music, like in “Chattahoochee”, “Where I Come From”, and “Country Boy”. Simply put, the damage that this soy boy has done is so great to the point where Garth Brooks, once viewed as too pop, is now seen as “traditional country”. Not only that, but now pop singer Bebe Rexha out of all people has the longest running number one country song at 50 weeks and counting. Alan Jackson truly did to country music what Bush did to Iraq and Obama did to Libya. Alan Jackson could give away everything he has, get a divorce, move to a secluded rural area, and instead of covering rap, sing nothing but Hank Sr., Haggard, Willie, and Cash covers, and he’d still be about as country as my the LED lights on my Sony LBT GPX77.
