(I wasn't paying a lick of attention to the the mainstream at the time.) George Strait had two number one hits! A duet with Dolly Parton was on the charts. And apparently Dierks Bentley was the biggest "bro" anyone had to worry about. <br /><br />Seems like there was still plenty of crap, but it's amazing how much country music has taken a turn for the completely non-traditional even in the last eight years.
