Mo...Waylon could and often did write quality songs. More importantly Waylon cultivated his own sound which found it's way to the songs he picked up from others. Patsy Cline had a very unique voice a d given the times had enough barriers to simply get played. I grew up going to George Strait concerts at least twice a year because my mom worked at a civic center he toured often. George is great at what he does which is play fairly simple and standard chords while singing other people's emotions while turning around often to show the swooning masses his Wrangler clad ass. He's also a very solid roper.
