Photoshop Disaster?

While doing some new covers for Country Day: November tonight, I caught what was probably a near-Photoshop Disaster. Check out this single cover for Alan Jackson's "Long Way to Go."

You may not notice anything odd at first glance, but look closely. And then check this out: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-580346-green-margarita-pleasure.php?st=4fbc13b

It's not a big deal that they used stock photography for the cover. Everybody does that. What was almost a big deal, I'm betting, is that they let this early version of the cover out with the iStockphoto watermark still partially visible. This is likely the rough design the graphic designer did before getting approval to purchase the stock photo. Apparently it almost went out on the market like this, but I checked around and iTunes and Amazon have the correct versions. The one above is from Taste of Country and I saw the same version on a couple of other review sites. Somebody almost lost a job over that, or got a big ass-chewing.

  2. This is actually a decent song brought down greatly by two things. 1.) His voice sounds awful. and 2.) He repeats the chorus about 9001 times at the end.
