Show Some Gratitude!

  1. If you hear some pop music masquerading as country, thank none other than the Nickelback of country music himself - Alan Jackson. These non-country acts poisoning country radio today like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Cole Swindell, Sam Hunt, Hunter Hayes, and Dan + Shay are basically just derivatives of Alan Jackson, and Alan Jackson is basically the inventor of bro-country. If you don't believe me, check out Jackson's (s)hits like "Chattahoochee", "Where I Come From", "Country Boy", and others. And don't forget that it was also Jackson who made country music the laughing stock it is today, especially with crap songs like "It's Alright to Be a Redneck" (the title is pretty self-explanatory), "I Still Like Bologna" (around four and a half minutes of bro-country torture that you'll never get back), "I Don't Even Know Your Name" (that stupid piece of shit is about as country as the Shawn Mendes song of the same name), and especially that stupid 9/11-exploiting song where he couldn't tell the difference between Iraq and Iran, leading country music to turn to the aforementioned "pop music masquerading as country" (which Jackson himself pioneered) to shake off its status as a laughing stock. And besides pop music (and hair metal, for that matter), it was also Jackson who pioneered another non-country element that has become so prominent on country radio today, hip-hop and R&B, by covering multiple hip-hop and R&B songs in concert, specifically:
    * Akon - Don't Matter
    * Wiz Khalifa - We Dem Boyz ( video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFOtWpul3ZY )
    * Young Money - BedRock
    * Boney M. - Daddy Cool
    * Soulja Boy - Turn My Swag On
    * Soulja Boy - I Got that Sauce
    * Future - Mask Off
    * Flo Rida - Whistle
    * T.I. - Whatever You Like
    * Big Sean ft. Nicki Minaj - Dance (A$$)
    * Lil Wayne - Love Me
    * Drake - Make Me Proud
    * Offset - Ric Flair Drip
    * Waka Flocka Flame - Hard in da Paint
    * Shaquille O'Neal - (I Know I Got) Skillz
    * Fetty Wap - Jugg
    Indeed, like I previously mentioned, it is none other than so-called "traditional country" (my ass) artist Alan Jackson responsible for all of these pop, hair metal, hip-hop, rap, and R&B songs passing off as "country" poisoning country radio today. That (namely, country rap, bro-country, and metro-bro), along with the fact that pop singer Bebe Rexha holds the record for longest running number single, along with the fact that rapper Blanco Brown currently has the number one country song at 4 weeks and counting while EDM artist Marshmello is at the number 12 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart and likely to rise, is all the apocalyptic aftermath of what the Nickelback of country music, Alan Jackson, did to this genre.
