Nashville is Murderous

  1. The real murderer on music row is standing on the right in that photo - Alan Jackson AKA the Nickelback of country music. Sam Hunt, just like these other bro-country and metro-bro artists poisoning country radio today (i.e., Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Hunter Hayes, Cole Swindell, etc.) didn't really "kill" country music, as crappy and non-country as his "music" may be. No, he's just the apocalyptic aftermath of the guy who actually did kill country music - Alan Jackson. Despite some great artists like Luke Combs, Eric Church, and Chris Stapleton gaining critical and commercial success and partially reversing the damage that Jackson has done to the genre, country music is still in a dire state, as pop, hair metal, hip-hop, and Drake style R&B have largely replaced traditional country influences. All thanks to Alan Jackson AKA the Nickelback of country music. Meanwhile, not only does pop singer Bebe Rexha (in a collaboration with bro-country act Florida Georgia Line, to add insult to injury) hold the record for the longest running number one song at 50 weeks and counting, but rapper Blanco Brown currently has the number one country song while bro-country artist Kane Brown's collaboration with EDM DJ Marshmello is now in the top ten on the Hot Country Songs chart and rising. Once again, all of this is just the apocalyptic aftermath of what Alan Jackson did to the genre. Not to that mention country music is often viewed as a laughing stock, with its audience being seen as trailer-dwelling racist and ignorant rednecks. And as you may have guessed, that too is also the fault of country music destroyer Alan Jackson, as can be seen in his (s)hits like "It's Alright to Be a Redneck" (the title is pretty self-explanatory), "I Still Like Bologna" (imagine the typical shitty bro-country song, but at 4 and a half minutes long), "Jim and Jack and Hank" (AKA Achy Breaky 3), and especially that stupid 9/11-exploiting song where he couldn't tell the difference between Iraq and Iran. And if you think Alan Jackson hasn't disgraced country music enough, I'll have you know that it was none other than this so-called "traditional country legend" who solidified the non-country influences that he unleashed upon country music by covering multiple hip-hop and R&B songs in concert, specifically
    * Akon - Don't Matter
    * Wiz Khalifa - We Dem Boyz ( video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFOtWpul3ZY )
    * Post Malone - Psycho
    * Boney M. - Daddy Cool
    * Soulja Boy - Turn My Swag On
    * Future - Mask Off
    * Flo Rida - Whistle
    * T.I. - Whatever You Like
    * Big Sean ft. Nicki Minaj - Dance (A$$)
    * Lil Wayne - Love Me
    * Drake - Make Me Proud
    * Offset - Ric Flair Drip
    * Waka Flocka Flame - Hard in da Paint
    * Shaquille O'Neal - (I Know I Got) Skillz
    * Fetty Wap - Jugg
    Although I still respect George Strait as a talented artist, country music destroyer Alan Jackson was and of course still is the last person I would expect him to collaborate with, especially on this song. Randy Travis, George Jones, or Dwight Yoakam would have been far better options than the Nickelback of country music. Alan Jackson is about as country as the New York City Skyline at night. While his army of braindead fans may tout him as some sort of "traditional country artist", logic dictates otherwise. When I see him perform "Murder on Music Row", just like in Gun Rack's "I Killed Darnell Simmons" from Key and Peele's sketch "Rap Album Confessions", what I see is Jackson gloating about his own crime of destroying and desecrating real country music.
