  1. That scene from Caddyshack perfectly describes any rational person's reaction to hearing Alan Jackson's shitty hip-hop, hair metal, EDM, and Drake style R&B inspired "music". Especially us fans of real country music, given that it was Jackson (the Nickelback of country music) who was responsible for those previously mentioned non-country influences that have now largely replaced traditional country sounds within mainstream country music (although there still are some good mainstream country artists left, especially Luke Combs, Jon Pardi, Eric Church, and Chris Stapleton). To be quite frank, these bro-country, metro-bro, and hick-hop acts dominating country radio today like Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Blanco Brown, and Sam Hunt, are basically just derivatives of Jackson. And I'd jump even quicker off the boat if I heard Jackson sucking up to hip-hop and Drake style R&B even further by covering multiple rap and R&B songs (along with an ABBA song for some obviously non-country reason) in concert, specifically
    * Akon - Don't Matter
    * Wiz Khalifa - We Dem Boyz ( video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFOtWpul3ZY )
    * Soulja Boy - Turn My Swag On
    * Future - Mask Off
    * Flo Rida - Whistle
    * T.I. - Whatever You Like
    * Big Sean ft. Nicki Minaj - Dance (A$$)
    * Lil Wayne - Love Me
    * Drake - Make Me Proud
    * Waka Flocka Flame - Hard in da Paint
    * Shaquille O'Neal - (I Know I Got) Skillz
    * ABBA - Super Trouper
    * Fetty Wap - Jugg
    Calling Alan Jackson's "music" country, much less neotraditional country, is like calling steak vegan. Those aforementioned bro-country, metro-bro, and hick-hop acts, along with the fact that pop star Bebe Rexha's collaboration with bro-country act Florida Georgia Line holds the record for the longest running number one country song at 50 weeks while EDM DJ Marshmello's collaboration with bro-country singer Kane Brown currently sits at number one on the Hot Country Songs chart, are all the apocalyptic aftermath of what this so-called "traditional country" artist, namely Alan Jackson AKA the Nickelback of country music, did to this genre. The ghosts of Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Jean Shepard, and Jimmie Rodgers would all slap Alan Jackson like how Moe slapped Curly in the Three Stooges.
