Country TwitterWIN: Sept. '18

  1. TwitterWIN? Those two stupid tweets that mentioned country music destroyer Alan Jackson as one of the "traditional" country artists were definitely TwitterFAILs . Let's start with @kgross8. Alan Jackson IS the very reason why country music has evolved into garbage. I can say the same for @whatapledger - Alan Jackson did murder country music (just not the way you think he did). "Murder on Music Row" was basically him singing about his own crime! Think of that song as the country version of Key and Peele's video "Rap Album Confessions". Who was the man who lived up negative stereotypes of country music, again? Who made country music look ignorant by blurting out with a straight face that he couldn't tell the difference between Iraq and Iran? And who created "Chattahoochee", arguably the first "bro-country" song? That's right, Alan Jackson. You so-called "country traditionalists" praising country music destroyed Alan Jackson is the biggest example of Stockholm Syndrome that I have EVER seen. It's not just irony, it's pathetic. No matter how much fake fiddle he puts into his excuses for "songs", Alan Jackson is as far from a traditional country music artist as you can get. Take away the fake fiddle, and at the core, Alan Jackson's "music" is far from country, let alone pop country. It's a weird mix of hip-hop, R&B, EDM, and hair metal. There are about as much "country" elements in there as there is beef served at a vegetarian restaurant. Besides, it was Jackson that covered a boatload of hip-hop and R&B songs at his concerts, the very "garbage" hip-hop songs (i.e., mumble rap) that you mentioned, @kgross8, namely:
    * Akon - Don't Matter
    * Wiz Khalifa - We Dem Boyz (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFOtWpul3ZY)
    * Tyga - Hookah
    * Soulja Boy - Turn My Swag On
    * Future - Mask Off
    * Flo Rida - Whistle
    * T.I. - Whatever You Like
    * Big Sean - Dance (A$$)
    * Lil Wayne - Love Me
    * Young Greatness - Moolah
    * Drake - Passionfruit
    * Offset - Ric Flair Drip
    * Boney M - Daddy Cool
    * Fetty Wap - Jugg
    But it's not just his live concerts. Keeping with the non-country elements in his music, guess who produced every Alan Jackson song since 2008? That's right. A rapper - Polow da Don - the very same guy who produced Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda". Polow da Don's clients also include fellow rappers like Nelly, Chris Brown, Gucci Mane, and Travis Scott. Just tell me again how Alan Jackson is supposed to be one of the "traditional" country artists when he is the man who not only destroyed and disgraced country music, which is bad enough, but had to rub some salt in the wound by going and diluting country music with a multitude of non-country influences, having a famous rap producer produce his "music", covering a long list of hip-hop and R&B songs at his concerts, and having the guts to sing about his own crime ("Murder on Music Row"). The obvious - he clearly fucking isn't!!! The truth may be hard to swallow, but all he is is a corporate mouthpiece, to be discarded soon as the next big trend takes a hold on mainstream country music. And he already has - both of his last two shitty singles have failed to chart at all, and it looks like Jackson's next album, based on the weak performance of its lead single, will be shelved indefinitely. But that's life for a corporate Nashville puppet like Jackson. Used and then discarded like a condom. He sure as hell is no country "legend". Alan Jackson the corporate Nashville puppet and country music destroyer will be looked down upon by time itself, the ultimate critic, as the ultimate disgrace to the genre, a tool for the corporate Nashville businessman, and as a laughing stock like Nickelback, because what else is he in the end?
